Clients & Collaborators

Nicole keeps you interested. She keeps you motivated. I've been to a few leadership courses... this has definitely been the best experience... it just felt like a genuine connection... Working with instead of talking at. If anybody has the chance to have Nicole come and talk to them, do it. You will not regret it."
Aiden Bettridge, Ngāi Tahu, NZ
About Nicole Masters
Nicole Masters is not interested in the problem. After twenty-five years working with food producers across thirty million acres on five continents, she has seen enough proof that the solutions already exist. Her job is finding the people building them and helping them go further. Her work centres on what she calls keystone humans: the farmers, ranchers, and land stewards whose influence spreads far beyond the boundaries of their own operations, the way a single species can reshape an entire ecosystem. These are people rewriting narratives that no longer fit, often without much fanfare and frequently against the advice of everyone around them. Nicole finds them, works alongside them, and tells their stories. Her first book, For the Love of Soil, became a foundational text in the regenerative agriculture movement. Her second, Keystone, follows the thread further, into landscapes and collaborations that demonstrate what becomes possible when the right people decide to stop competing and start paying attention. As a speaker, Nicole brings the same orientation to every room she enters: less focus on what has gone wrong, more focus on what is already working and how to scale it. Nicole is available for keynote addresses, author events, and collaborative projects.
With an eye towards both stewardship and production, Nicole has a knack for asking the right questions that catalyze creative problem solving and strategic thinking, leading us towards the discovery of long-term, sustainable solutions for our diversified farming operation."

Speaking
Nicole has delivered keynote addresses at major agricultural, conservation, and food systems conferences across six countries. She is known for making complex ecological ideas immediately actionable, and for bringing both rigour and humour to subjects that are too often treated as purely solemn.

What if the biggest shift in agriculture isn't a new practice, but a new way of seeing?

In this powerful 2023 Road to Regen presentation, Nicole Masters connects human health, soil health and the resilience of our landscapes. Drawing on her own experience with chemical exposure, and stories from farmers creating real change, Nicole explores how we can move beyond fear and reaction toward curiosity, connection and possibility.
Because regeneration isn't just something we do. It's an attitude.
For years many of us involved in regenerative agriculture have been touting the soil health, plant health, animal health, human health connection, but no one has tied them all together like Nicole does in For the Love of Soil".
Gabe Brown, Brown's Ranch, USA
"My expectations were high, and Nicole exceeded them. Her knowledge, personality, humor, and enthusiasm were compelling. She kept the audience thoroughly engaged in the classroom and in the field. Nicole's presentation was powerful and changed the way our clients look at soil and the role of soil in producing a healthy product at a healthy profit".
David Pratt, Ranching for Profit, USA
